Ivy Calvert is a Nashville-based soprano acclaimed for her “soaring” voice and “absolutely priceless” stage presence. Her 25/26 season begins with a role debut as Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Canto615.

Ms. Calvert began her 24/25 season as Sophie in Werther with Canto615 followed by a return to The Atlanta Opera covering First Spirit in The Magic Flute. She also made her debut with Intersection Music singing Emily in Gillian Rae Perry’s new opera, The Weight of Light. Additionally, she competed as a semi-finalist in the 2025 Partners for The Arts National Competition.

Ms. Calvert’s 23/24 season began with The Atlanta Opera as the Page and Countess Ceprano (cover) in Rigoletto after appearing as Rosina in The Barber of Seville for The Atlanta Opera’s Studio Tour. She also made her Nashville Opera debut as the Third Spirit in The Magic Flute

Ms. Calvert spent the summer of 2023 as an Emerging Artist at OperaFest Sewanee, an artist incubator program, and 2022 as a Vocal Fellow in the Manetti Shrem Opera Program at Festival Napa Valley, where she had the opportunity to be the soprano soloist in Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music.

Ms. Calvert had her role and house debut as Monica in The Medium with Amarillo Opera during the 2021-22 season.

Canceled performances from her 2020-21 season included role debuts as Serpina in Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona, Serafina in Donizetti’s Il Campanello with Capitol Opera Harrisburg, and the soprano soloist in Craig Hella Johnson’s fusion-oratorio Considering Matthew Shepard with the Kansas State University choirs.

During the 2019-20 season, Ms. Calvert received the Fielder Grant for Career Advancement and competed as a semi-finalist in the Camille Coloratura Awards. She made her recital debut with San Antonio’s Art Song Society for Poets and Musicians and spent the summer at the Taos Opera Institute.

Additionally, Ivy has sung with Wexford Festival Opera in Bernstein à la carte. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for their Tea and Trumpets series as well as their annual Traditional Christmas Tour.
